My Late Father-in-Law

Dear Sirs,

My late father-in-law, Lt. Col. AWC Major served with the Indian Army Supply and Transport Division based in Lucknow between March 1920 to February 1921 and then in Cawnpore (Kanpur) between February 1921 to July 1922.

His widow, my mother-in-law is still alive and lives with us. She remembers that he wrote a weekly column in what she believes was called 'The Allahabad Gazette'.

The British Library has microfilm of ony one publication from Allahabad at thet time, 'The Pioneer Mail and Indian Weekly News'. The column does not appear in the Pioneer Mail.

It is possible, but unlikely, that the Gazette was an army periodical.

Can you help in trying to track down the information I require or suggest web sites I might try?
