Major win for BSP at Legislative council

It has been a major win for the BSP which has won seven of the 12 seats Uttar Pradesh legislative council where elections were conducted on Thursday.
While it turned out a major upset for Congress which could not gain any seat, sthe Samajwadi party won 2 seats and BJP bagged 3. The poll outcome was largely influenced by cross voting which favored the BSP. --MP
