BJP condemns NSA imposed on Varun
Monday, March 30, 2009
The Uttar Pradesh government's decision to impose National Security Act(NSA) on its Pilibhit constituency BJP candidate, Varun Gandhi was strongly condemned by the BJP which ermed it as a political conspiracy.
This comes in the wake of the evidence provided over his alleged hate speech against Muslims during an election rally which eventually led to the arrest of Varun.
The matter is still under consideration by legal experts who will analyse the charges filed against him. Though the CPM, Congress and National Conference supported the Mayawati government's move, it was criticised by its rival party, SP. --MP
